What is Virtual Machine

A single physical server (called a host) can run many virtual computers. When you connect several of these hosts together, you get a strong and reliable IT system. Today, many industries are switching to this kind of setup, especially for systems like DCS OT.

• Host : its a physical server which allocate resources like CPU, RAM & ROM to create many virtual machines ( like a your office computer are available in a a single or multiple Host based on size ). which is configurable by a software based emulator usually Microsoft-Hypervisor & VMware-ESXi are the major available platform for the virtual machines.

• Servers : it is a computer hardware & software which can allocate application level services with a data storage & manage by sharing with multiple clients on a network.

• Clients : it is also like a computer on a network which can send a request to the server and provide the processed out put from a server.

• Virtual machine : it is a computer created in a server or a Host. which can not be a physical.
