Radar Level Measurement
The most effective and precise technique for determining the level of liquid or solid materials in a tank or vessel is radar level type measurement.
There are two kinds of radar level measurements used here:
Non-contact and contact (guided wave).
Working of a Radar measuring instrument At the top of the tank, an antenna transmits radar signals. The measured surface reflects the signal, and the antenna detects the echo. The frequency of the transmitted signal and the echo differs slightly. The distance to the measured surface determines how much the frequency difference is.
